Falls Park is expanding its footprint to handle more visitors. The city has purchased four acres of land near the park, from Xcel Energy. The city is looking at adding amenities to the newly-acquired property, like picnic shelters or extra parking.

"Monstress" from Image Comics won several awards, and both Ta Nehisi Coats’ run of "Black Panther", and Saladin Ahmed’s run of "Black Bolt," (both from Marvel) came away winners. Marjorie Liu and Tom King tied for best writer, for their work on "Monstress" (Image) and "Batman" (DC) respectively.
